GlassNib keyboard shortcuts

Annotation is something you do in the middle of doing something else, so the shortcuts matter more than the toolbar does. These are the defaults; every one of them can be rebound inside the application, and only the changes you make are stored — so a default that improves later reaches you without resetting anything.

General

Two of these are global: they work even when GlassNib is not the focused window. Redo also answers to Ctrl + Shift + Z.

Global versus local

Two shortcuts are registered with Windows itself: Ctrl + Shift + D to toggle drawing mode and Ctrl + Shift + X to clear everything. They fire while your browser, your slides or your editor has focus, which is the whole point — you are never annotating GlassNib, you are annotating something else.

The rest are local: they work while GlassNib has focus, which in practice means while you are in drawing mode.

Jumping between worksheets

Ctrl + Shift + a digit from 1 to 9 jumps straight to that worksheet. It is one binding rather than nine: the modifier is what you set, and the row of digits behind it stays fixed.

If a shortcut does nothing

The usual cause is another application holding the same combination — global shortcuts are first come, first served in Windows, and whichever program registered it first keeps it. Rebinding the GlassNib side is the quickest fix, and because only your changes are saved, the rest of the defaults stay as they are.
